Storing coffee beans correctly ensures each brew captures the roast’s full potential and vibrant character.

Avoid Exposure to Air, Light, and Moisture

Coffee beans rapidly oxidize when exposed to air, causing flavor degradation. Use airtight containers to limit oxygen contact. Packaging materials with one-way valves help vent gases while protecting beans.

Light promotes staling and breakdown of delicate aromatics; store beans in opaque containers or dark cupboards away from windows.

Control Temperature and Humidity

Optimal storage occurs at cool, stable temperatures. Avoid storing beans near heat sources like ovens or in humid areas which accelerate decay and mold.

Room temperature is preferred over refrigeration unless beans are vacuum sealed to prevent moisture exposure.

Grind Fresh Before Brewing
